WEIGHT-LOSS & WELLBEING HYPNOTHERAPY FOR WOMEN
You've followed the plans. You've joined the slimming groups. You know what you should be doing.
But knowing what to do and finding yourself able to do it consistently can feel like two very different things.
I'm Nichola, a clinical hypnotherapist helping women explore the habits, emotions and familiar patterns that can make losing weight and maintaining it feel difficult.
Whether you're following a weight-loss plan, navigating changes in your body or using GLP-1 medication, I offer personalised support to help you build confidence in yourself and the choices you make.
You know what to do.
So why does losing weight —and keeping it off — feel so hard?
How many times have you lost the same stone?
You start with the best intentions. This time, you tell yourself, it will be different.
For a while, things go well. Then life gets busy, emotions take over, or old habits begin to creep back in. Before you know it, you’re finding yourself in the same place again — wondering why something you want so much can feel so difficult to maintain.
And perhaps now you’re using weight-loss medication, or thinking about what happens when you eventually stop. You may be losing weight, but still wondering whether your relationship with food will change along with it.
That’s where our work together begins. Not with another set of food rules, but with space to explore the thoughts, feelings and familiar patterns that can influence the choices you make.
Because lasting change isn’t simply about knowing what to do. It’s about understanding what gets in the way of doing it.
How can hypnotherapy help?
You might already understand what you want to change. The harder part can be understanding why you find yourself returning to the same habits, even when you’re determined to do things differently.
In our sessions, we take time to explore your individual experiences — whether that’s turning to food for comfort, eating in response to stress, struggling with familiar routines, or feeling anxious about maintaining your progress.
Using conversational hypnotherapy, I’ll help you explore those patterns and work towards a calmer, more confident relationship with food and yourself.
Your first session gives us time to understand you, your experiences and what you’d like to change, as well as begin our therapeutic work together. It may last up to 90 minutes, depending on your individual needs.
I generally recommend a minimum of three sessions, as this gives us time to explore your patterns and build on the work we do together. We’ll discuss a personalised course of sessions after your first appointment, so you can decide how you’d like to proceed.
Whether you’re following a weight-loss plan or using GLP-1 medication, our focus is on the thoughts, feelings and behaviours surrounding your relationship with food — alongside, not in place of, any medical care you receive.
Your relationship with your weight can involve so much more than food. It can be shaped by your experiences, routines, responses to stress, how you feel about your body and the expectations you place on yourself. Through personalised hypnotherapy, we can explore the patterns that matter to you and work towards changes that support your goals.
It’s not just about what you eat.
LOSING WEIGHT WITH GLP-1 MEDICATION?
Let’a talk about the part that isn’t on the prescription.
The medication may be helping with your appetite and the food noise, but what about everything else?
Perhaps food feels quieter than it used to. You’re making progress, and for the first time in a long time, losing weight may feel possible.
But you might still find yourself wondering:
What happens if I stop taking it? Will my old habits return? What if I put the weight back on?
Or perhaps you’re navigating changes in how you see yourself, your relationship with food, or the confidence to trust the progress you’re making.
You don’t have to work through those feelings on your own.
Hypnotherapy can offer a supportive space to explore emotional eating, familiar habits, body image and fears about weight regain — whether you’re currently using GLP-1 medication or discussing your next steps with your prescriber.
My work focuses on the psychological and emotional side of your journey. It sits alongside your medical care, not in place of it, and I won’t advise you to start, stop or change your medication.
Hello, I’m Nichola.
I’m a clinical and advanced conversational hypnotherapist, and I’ve been helping people explore change since 2014.
My approach is warm, conversational and tailored to you. There’s no judgement and no lecture about what you should or shouldn’t be doing. Instead, we’ll take time to understand what’s happening for you and explore the changes you’d like to make.
Let’s begin with you.
Individual weight-loss hypnotherapy £97 per session
Your first appointment gives us time to talk about your journey, what you’ve experienced so far and what you’d like to change. You can begin with one session. If further appointments may be helpful, we’ll discuss that together.
You don’t have to keep starting over, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before taking the first step.
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, learning to maintain your progress or worrying about what comes next, you deserve support that looks beyond another set of food rules.
If you’re ready to explore the habits, emotions and patterns that have been making things difficult, I’d love to work with you.
